Truly breathtaking indeed, I love the way the dolomites are piercing through the clouds, trying to regain the upperhand against the elements. One can only imagine the effort involved in the climb that resulted in this photograph. If you gained half as much pleasure on the climb as I have had from viewing this work, then you truly had an amazing time James. Thank you so much for sharing it with us all. Well deserved of a daily deviation, and in my opinion up there with the works of the late great Galen Rowell. Well done sir. Simon

Awesome image. . .but, man, the noise really kills it for me. You should try running this through NIK Software's DFine, or Noise Ninja, to see if you can clean up some of the chroma noise. Maybe crop out the vignette in the top?
